The Orchestra
Since 1956 it has been an inseparable element of Szczecin music scene. In its repertoire it has plenty of opera, operetta, ballet and music pieces; they have performed repertoire from baroque to classicism, through romanticism to contemporary pieces. It has also successfully performed concerts of symphonic and oratoria music, especially during such popular artistic events as the Great Tenor Tournament, the concert To those who have not returned from the sea... which takes place in the natural scenery of the Central Cemetery in Szczecin or August Breakthroughs on the roof of the Centre for Dialogue Breakthroughs. The orchestra has been on many foreign tournees with opera and operetta shows in Austria, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland.
